You're completely yourself with your team, and someone else entirely the moment the stakes go up.
This is a group communication coaching program to give you tools personalized for the exact moment your voice disappears, not another course you watch alone.
PresentVoices clients report:
How it Works
8 weeks. Self-paced videos plus unlimited live Presence Labs equal your personal Presence Playbook.
Self-paced videos:
The framework with step-by-step tools you can start using immediately.
Unlimited live Presence Labs:
Live practice on Zoom with me and a small group of empathetic leaders working on the same challenges. Casual and non-performative, come to practice or just watch.
Labs happen three times a month where you practice and personalize tools from the Empathetic Presence framework:
EMBODY
Regulating your nervous system and anchoring your attention in your body so you can get out of your head and into the present moment.
EXPERT
Organizing your thinking on the go and responding when put on the spot, so you can access what you know without over-preparing.
EMPATHY
Using your empathy as a focusing tool instead of a source of distraction, so you can read the room without losing yourself in it.
You have lifetime access to the program videos. The live Presence Labs run for 8 weeks from the day you start.
“Presence Labs are the perfect stepping stone — a safe place to practice all of the tips and tricks I learn in our videos in front of an audience, without worrying about being judged.”
— Haley, Product Manager

I reserve a few pay-what-you-wish spots for people working in social justice or if you've lost your livelihood right now, so don't hesitate to mention that in your application.
I created Express Yourself Everywhere as the playbook I wish I had.
I was unable to speak, but only in certain settings.
I was confident doing the work. But the moment I had to talk about the work—especially to people in positions of authority—I'd lose my personality (and my train of thought!).
Then I realized: perfectionism was making it impossible for me to be present.
The moment I stopped trying to "fix" my voice, I could speak fully and freely.
I built this framework from the work I've done supporting thousands of empathetic leaders over a decade. This isn't about becoming someone you're not. It's about being more fully who you already are, so you can decide in each room how to show up, how to lead, and how to preserve your energy doing it.
I can't wait to show you how much ease and clarity this work creates.

Presence Labs happen three times a month on weekdays and alternate between different times. When you apply, I’ll ask for your preferred availability. Each session is 60 minutes.
You don't have to come to all of them. Come to the ones that fit your schedule.
The live Labs run for 8 weeks from the day you start the program. You have lifetime access to the Framework.
-
I work with people across industries and seniority levels who experience unpredictable speaking anxiety. I’ve worked with many physicians, software engineers, product managers, data science leaders, tech executives, nonprofit leaders, activists, engineering leaders, CEOs, and sales leaders.
-
The program lasts for two months. Over that time, you'll watch self-paced videos and build your personal Presence Playbook as you go. You have lifetime access, so go at your own pace.
The live practice sessions are 60 minutes, three times a month. Come to as many as you want. Can't make one? Need to just listen? That's always okay.
This is not a cohort program. There's no falling behind. You join, you start, I meet you where you are.
-
This is the most common hesitation I hear, and it makes complete sense.
The Labs are explicitly structured so that doesn't happen. You never have to participate out loud. When you do, you're not being evaluated, you're being coached. The group is intimate. Everyone in the room is an empathetic leader working on the same thing.
You can also change your Zoom display name to anything you want. What's said in a Lab stays in the Lab.
-
Not at all. Think of it less like a class you attend and more like a gym you drop into when you can. Come when the timing works, leave when you need to, and come back next time. You're welcome to show up for part of a session too. Even 20 minutes counts.
The Labs happen three times a month. There's no attendance requirement and no falling behind. You get out of it what you put in, and even occasional attendance builds the muscle.

Because every other program is trying to fix your communication. This one isn't.
Most communication training teaches you to perform confidence (to script, to rehearse, to sound polished). And when you're someone whose anxiety spikes precisely in the unscripted moments, that training doesn't just fail. It makes things worse. Because now you have more material to rehearse and more ways to feel like you didn't prepare enough.
This work starts from a completely different premise: you are not broken, and your voice does not need fixing. What you need is a way to stay present when the stakes go up so that what you know can actually come through.
We're also not working on public speaking in the traditional sense. We're working on what happens when you're put on the spot. When you're in a new role and need to show up with authority. When you're asked a question you didn't see coming. When you know exactly what you want to say and your body has a different plan.
This is off-the-cuff communication. Thinking on your feet. Showing up consistently as yourself in every room, not just the ones you had time to prepare for.
-
The fear isn't the problem. The fear makes sense. You've been in rooms where dominant voices get heard and depth gets ignored. Your body is responding to that.
Overcoming fear isn't about "getting over it" or building false confidence. It's about building tools that help you stay present even when the fear shows up. Tools that replace over-preparation with focused presence. Tools that help you stop performing and start speaking like yourself.
-
Public speaking anxiety isn't just nerves. It's often status anxiety. You're confident in your expertise, but around senior leaders or dominant personalities, you get quiet.
The physical symptoms are real: heart racing, chest tightness, difficulty breathing. Your body responds to the threat of dominance in the room.
The struggle isn't your voice. It's situational, systemic. You need personal, practical tools to help you regulate your nervous system and anchor your attention in the present moment.
-
Yes, and I want you to know that explicitly.
If you want to ask a question or share a situation without putting yourself on the spot in the moment, you can submit it anonymously ahead of time via private chat on Zoom once we're in the session, or by emailing me at least 30 minutes before we start. I'll bring it into the group without identifying you.
You're also welcome to change your Zoom display name to anything you want. You don't have to show up as yourself if that doesn't feel right yet.
And I never share or reference anything said in a Lab outside of that space. What happens in the room stays in the room. Full stop.
The Labs are structured this way on purpose. Safety isn't a feature here, it's the foundation.
-
Yes. The video lessons give you proven frameworks that work for thousands of empathetic leaders. The live practice sessions give you supportive witnesses and real-time practice.
This isn't therapy. It's not in-depth coaching. It's skill-building and practice. If you realize you want more personalized support, private coaching is available—but my group programs have been fully impactful for past participants!
-
You learn these tools best when you're not under pressure. Practice them in low-stakes moments first. Build muscle memory. Then when the high-stakes opportunity comes, you're ready.
Waiting until you "need" it means you're learning under stress. Be ahead in two months by starting now.
-
Yes. We offer installment plans and we also have limited pay-what-you-wish spots for those working in social justice or who have lost their livelihood. Mention that when you apply.
This work will open more opportunities for you. You’ll get tools to position yourself for promotion, negotiation, and visibility. For many clients, this investment pays for itself.
-
This work has supported many neuro-diverse people. Anxiety and attention challenges show up in similar ways. The tools in this program help you consolidate your focus in the present moment—which is exactly what helps with both speaking anxiety and attention regulation.
Full body focus equals presence. More presence means more confidence and deeper connection. The key is strengthening your trust in yourself so you can be in choice and build your own toolbox.
-
Yes, I offer two private coaching paths. Both include bi-weekly private sessions, action plans, real-time support between sessions, and monthly group practice. Visit my coaching page for more details.

Executive presence is usually code for performing dominance. It's about projecting authority, commanding rooms, looking polished.
That's not what the world needs.
We don't need more dominant, disconnected leaders who struggle with actual connection. We need Empathetic Presence: people who can speak truth clearly, who use their empathy as a focusing tool, who align their voices with their values.
Empathetic Presence means you stop performing confidence and start embodying it. You stop deferring to authority and start trusting your expertise. You get out of your head and into the present moment.
-
For most people, eight weeks is enough to understand the framework, start building the tools into their daily communication, and notice real shifts in how they show up.
That said, this work is cumulative. The more you practice, the more it becomes yours. Which is why after your eight weeks, you have the option to continue with The Collective, a monthly membership for EYE graduates that gives you ongoing access to Presence Labs.
So the short answer is: eight weeks gives you the foundation. The Collective gives you the reps for as long as you want them.
-
You don't need to. Every Lab is self-contained. You can come on day one before you've watched a single video. The Labs don't require preparation, they're where you practice not needing it.
