Preparing for Virtual Presentations

One of the most common questions I get these days is how to prepare when presenting on video. When we prepare (or over-prepare), most of us are spending most of our time perfecting our content. This is a huge disservice because the words themselves carry the least amount of weight in terms of someone's perception of us. But it's also not the most effective thing to focus on in order to help you feel prepared.

I really enjoyed talking about this topic with Stephanie at Iron Horse. Check out the video above for tips on how to prepare and practice content in order to ingrain the ideas in a speakable way, how to set up your space for optimal online presence, and where to look when presenting on video.

What has helped you feel more prepared in the virtual world?
